Changing Lives - One House at a Time

From April 18 - April 30


 

DAY 1
Construction began on Pinellas Habitat's 130th home on Monday, April 18, with a "wall raising" ceremony at the build site at 1032 Melrose Avenue South in St. Petersburg Directions. All the walls were up by 10:30AM and the sheathing in place by the end of the day. Many thanks to the enthusiastic volunteer crews from Publix Super Markets for their great effort!

Day 2

Construction is optimistically ahead of schedule at the build site at 1032 Melrose Avenue South in St. Petersburg All of the plywood sheathing and roofing was completed and the front porch and bathrooms are starting to take shape. Many thanks again to the enthusiastic volunteer crews from Publix Super Markets and the building inspection services of CAPRI Engineering for their great effort!

Day 3
Today, the volunteer crews installed the siding and roof shingles at the build site at 1032 Melrose Avenue South in St. Petersburg Directions. The hard working crews have the build slightly ahead of schedule. Many thanks again to today's enthusiastic volunteer crews from Publix Super Markets, US Navy Reserve, the building inspection services of CAPRI Engineering and Calvary Chapel (who provided lunch for the volunteers) for their great effort!

Day 4

DAY 5
It was a day of rest for our volunteers as the subcontractors took over to do electrical and mechanical work at the blitz build site at 1032 Melrose Avenue South in St. Petersburg. Still ahead of schedule, we have finished a great week of building.
