On This Earth
 March 2007
"On this Earth" is a concert series aimed at enlightening and empowering audiences to make a difference "on this earth" in their local community.  The March 23rd concert featured four outstanding musicians and community leaders, three from Tampa Bay and one from Boston coming together to help raise money for the Habitat Pinellas Woman Build. You can also find out more about Lorna and the series at www.onthisearth.org

Building HOPES Breakfast
 March 2007
400 friends of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County joined us for our 2nd Annual Building HOPES Breakfast to support our mission to eliminate poverty housing in Pinellas County. The 2007 Building HOPES Breakfast is Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County’s major fundraising event for the year, helping to raise unrestricted funds for our program and spread our message in the community. Our inaugural Building HOPES Breakfast in February 2006 was attended by 290 people and raised $202,000 in multiple year pledges and cash donations.

Special thanks to the Kapok Pavilion

Registration volunteers helped greet breakfast guests to this free event.

HfHPC Board Member Jay Miller spoke on the mission and purpose of Habitat Pinellas.

All were welcome to attend. HfHPC Board Chair Jacqui Hosman shared her Habitat experience with other guests.

Building Dreams Auction
September 2006
An evening of food, refreshments and fun, the Building Dreams Auction was a great success thanks to the auction committee and all of the enthusiastic bidders. Congrats to our supporters for helping us to raise almost $35,000 this year. And special thanks to our auction sponsors: St. Petersburg Times, Sembler, Catalina Marketing, ProVise and Eastern Financial Federal Credit Union.

Art Institute of Tampa Culinary Management students prepare the food for the evening.

Youth United and St. Pete High students help set up the event.

The culinary students donated their time and talents to make this years' event a success. They even baked and decorated a Habitat gingerbread house, which was given to the highest bidder of the evening.

Items like this Asian Chow table were a big hit, especially with these bidders.

Auction items were donated by local businesses and community members. All the money raised goes to support Pinellas Habitat.

Items were divided into three sections. Each time a section was about to close, the bidding wars really heated up.

Executive Director Barbara Inman greets the crowd before the start of the silent auction.
