Sponsoring a Home
The corporate, civic and faith communities have sustained the Habitat for Humanity of
Pinellas County ministry through the home sponsorship program.
Corporations have provided the financial capital and the labor of
employees to build alongside homeowners since the infancy of Habitat for
Humanity of Pinellas County.
A full Home sponsorship involves a financial commitment of $50,000 and
the opportunity for the sponsor's volunteers to construct the home under
the guidance of professionals specially trained to guide the Habitat for
Humanity of Pinellas County experience. The principal building tasks
are: framing, siding, exterior and interior painting, and landscaping.
Related smaller duties are intermingled in each day’s schedule to
provide an immersion experience. At the completion of a sponsored build,
participants have typically learned a smattering of building techniques
and a “paint-bucket load” about themselves and their colleagues.

different levels of support, please click

Many corporations and retail establishments are able to sponsor a
Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County home and receive tax incentives
under the auspices of a unique program funded by the State of Florida,
the Community Contributions Tax Credit Program.
Other Sponsorship Opportunities
Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County is committed to being a good
steward of resources donated by the community it serves. To that end,
the organization strives to minimize expenditures for non-construction
activities. Financial support of publications, staff professional
development activities, homeowner programs, special events, home
dedications, neighborhood celebrations and other administrative
functions is always welcome.
Thank you for considering sponsorship opportunities with Habitat for
Humanity of Pinellas County! We have a number of options for
sponsorship-some of which may provide tax credit for qualifying
companies.
