Women, Come Help Build a
Home!
Our Women Build encourages the involvement of women in the
construction of Habitat homes, while empowering women to address the
problem of children living in poverty housing by building safe,
healthy homes where families can flourish. This project also
provides an environment in which women can feel comfortable learning
skills they might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn. |

Get the Facts
-
The
2008 Women Build houses are complete.
-
We are taking names for people
interested in participating in the 2009 build, which will be organized and constructed entirely by women
and built in partnership with the partner families.
-
NO CONSTRUCTION SKILLS NEEDED to be a
volunteer. Trained site supervisors will be on-hand to teach whatever
skills are needed for each construction day.
-
2,000 volunteer hours will be needed
for the construction alone.
-
The home will cost $106,000 in
materials, skilled labor and land. That does not include the value of the
volunteer labor. No funding will come from Habitat for Humanity
International. 100% of funds will need to come directly from our
community. Click
